In his Confessions, St. Augustine prayed, “You have made us for yourself and restless is our heart until it comes to rest in you.” Give that line some thought. What could it mean that our hearts are restless until we rest in God? In our most honest moments, we can all admit that our hearts long for more, something richer, something sweeter than our daily lives seem to offer. Augustine nailed this, and it is vital that we see our heart-felt yearning in this light. Money, power, sports, reputation, family—none of these bring true rest. It only comes when we rest in our Creator.
I am excited to announce we have edited and remastered our course on Augustine and Medieval Theology, it is now available in CD and mp3 formats for a special price. I hope you will check it out, expand your horizon and go deeper in your faith.
