Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Describe the biblical concept of spirituality in light of contemporary thought.
- Identify the theological foundations of evangelical spirituality as they have developed through the history of the church.
- Develop a functional definition of spiritual formation.
- Know the mystic teachings of Christian spirituality that have developed through the history of the Church and recognize those influences in contemporary ideas relating to spiritual formation.
