The Book of Revelation

Lecturer:
Dr. Wilbur Smith
Former Professor Fuller Theological Seminary
D.D., Evangelical Theological College

“Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”

-Revelation 1:3

Course Description:

When Jesus ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father, he told onlookers that one day He would come again. Ever since then, believers have been anxiously awaiting the King's return. In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John has penned a beautiful picture of what that homecoming will look like. He speaks of glowing lamps, colorful horses, and a heavenly city with streets of gold. Yet what do the images mean? Are they merely allegorical or is John recalling a literal truth about the future? In this course, Dr. Wilbur Smith explores possible interpretations of the End Times. Using sound Biblical exegesis with historical and contextual facts, Dr. Smith helps students study the book afresh while offering insight into Jesus' return.
