Professor Blogs
In 1st Timothy 4:13, Paul encouraged Timothy to devote himself to the public reading of Scripture and to preaching and teaching. The implication is two-fold: (1) God's Word must be preeminent and (2) God's people must engage one another. The ITS Professors have devoted their lives to understanding God's truth and to sharing that truth with God's people. ITS has created a special spot for learners to connect with the ITS Professors as they use Blogging to bring God's truth to current issues.

Catching Up with the ITS Professors
Carroll Builds National Bible Museum
– ITS Release 5/27/09
For the past year or so, Cornerstone University Professor Dr. Scott Carroll has been engaged in creating the largest Bible museum in the United States. Located in Dallas, Texas, and housed in an over 900,000-square foot building, the museum will be arguably the greatest collection of biblical antiquities in the world. In addition to preserving valuable relics from Christendom, the museum will construct exact replicas of various biblical sites and serve as an educational resource and training center for Christians.

Lausanne Capetown
In October, 2010, the third Lausanne worldwide gathering will be held in Capetown, South Africa (Lausanne, 1974; Manila, 1989 were the first two). This meeting will involve over 4000 attendees there, but others can be a part at over 300 plus sites worldwide (currently 60 countries are covered). I am working with the team in charge of funneling information to and from these sites. I will run the communication command center for this event. We are planning now for that meeting. Below is a picture of our team that met last month in Denver. It is headed by Larry Russell at the end of the table nearest the camera. Doug Pennoyer of Talbot-Biola, Richard Sessoms of Lausanne, Manfred Kohl of Overseas Council (and his wife, Barbara) and Victor Nakah of Tanzania and me are in the picture running clockwise from Larry.
Pray for this event and its worldwide impact on motiviating Christians to live out their calling.

Q: When did you accept the Lord?
A: At the age of eight with the help of my mother at home.
|
|
Q: What would be your perfect day?
A: A perfect day is future in heaven. Until then, the closest to perfect would be 24 hours of: unbroken fellowship with our awesome Creator; harmony with his beautiful creation under his wise providence; deep breaths of clean air, pure water and enough fresh daily health food; walking in the Spirit and winning the battle against the old fleshly tendencies; quality time with my wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; opportunities to witness to the truth and power of the gospel.
|
|
Q: What have you always dreamed of doing?
A: By God’s grace I have done what I dreamed of doing in teaching, preaching, and publishing books in apologetics and theology.
|
|
Q: How can people be praying for you?
A: Pray that at 82, by God’s all-sufficient grace, I may faithfully endure to the end of life, whatever that may involve. I have a lot of living, mentoring and writing to do!
