ITS is pleased to announce the release of its latest Legacy Course Biblical Preaching: A Pastor’s Look at Homiletics. Recorded by Rev. Dr. John R.W. Stott, these lectures were recorded at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1974 and have been archived for decades. ITS has professionally digitized the materials and edited the sound quality to bring the recordings to believers today. The lectures draw on Rev. Stott’s experience in preaching the Word of God and provide key insights into true Biblical homiletics. Since he retired in April 2007, these teachings might be the last recordings Stott ever releases. This course is the November Featured Legacy Course.

ITS is pleased to announce revisions to the Study Materials for Theologies of Liberation. Dedicated to one of the largest growing movements in Christianity, the course examines the teachings of Gustavo Gutiérrez, Emilo Núñez, and other key Latin America thinkers in an effort to understand the key principles of liberation theology. Dr. Kenneth B. Mulholland uses his experience as a scholar and missionary to draw out the intellectual and practical implications for the church today. Dr. Mulholland was the Dean of the School of Mission for Columbia International University. ITS has updated the study materials, proctor guides, and syllabus to current standards helping the learner’s journey into these important teachings.

ITS is pleased to announce course revisions to Muslim Evangelism. Previously only available on cassette tapes, this course has been renamed Encountering Islam: Understanding and Sharing with Muslims. ITS worked with audio experts to professionally edit the lectures. In addition to improving the sound quality, the lectures have been digitized and are now available in Audio CDs and MP3 CDs. Islam continues to grow internationally and in the United States making this course a wonderful resource for those seeking to learn about Islam and for Christians desiring to serve and love Muslims. In the lectures, Dr. Patrick O. Cate draws on his years of experience as a missionary to Muslims in creating an important resource for the Body of Christ.

ITS is pleased to announce the release of Dr. Richard Averbeck’s course Old Testament Theology: Latter Prophets and Writings. The second course in a two-part series, these recordings draw on Dr. Averbeck’s experience as a pastor, counselor, and professor. Along with studying the theology of the Old Testament, Dr. Averbeck breaks down the individual books themselves identifying key themes and teachings that run throughout Scripture. Listeners will examine books like Amos, Obadiah, and Micah as they study a critical time in Israel’s history. Dr. Averbeck is professor of Old Testament and Semitic languages at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

ITS is pleased to announce the release of a new series of lectures named the Legacy Series. ITS Legacy Courses are drawn from the rich history of materials produced by ITS over the years. Designed for use in a seminary setting, the ITS Legacy Courses were produced before digitally mastered sound recording was standard and are no longer being updated for classroom use. Nonetheless, the lectures are a treasure-trove of spiritual teachings on Biblical Studies and Christian History, Worldview, and Practice. Believers benefit greatly as they are introduced to the great Biblical thinkers of the 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s.
